The Ranger can hold up to eight long guns, any number of handguns, and ammunition in accordance with Section 36 of the German Weapons Act. The Ranger 800/8, with resistance grade I, is monitored by the ECB and offers an exceptionally high level of security thanks to its EN 1143-1 certified burglary protection .

Ranger 800/8 robustly constructed for high protection

The double-walled body of the gun safe consists of two layers of 3 mm thick steel (total wall thickness 71 mm) . The door is also double-walled and secured by 28 mm round bolts on three sides. Additional robust round bolts act as a rear locking mechanism on the hinge side of the door. To further enhance the security of the Ranger, it comes standard with pre-drilled holes for secure floor anchoring and can be anchored using the included mounting hardware. Furthermore, the Ranger 800/8 features a non-resettable emergency locking system in the door mechanism for added security . This ensures your firearms are optimally protected in the event of a break-in.
The Ranger 800/8 offers commercial insurance coverage of up to €20,000 and private coverage of up to €65,000 . Please note that coordination with the insurer is required.

The Ranger 800/8 gun safe with resistance grade I is available in two versions: with a mechanical “SecuSafe” lock and with the electronic “SecuTronic” combination lock including fingerprint module.

"SecuSafe" – Armored, reversible high-security double-bit lock

The armored, high-security double-bitted lock "SecuSafe" is a highly practical solution in case a key is lost. This means that the lock can be opened immediately if the key is lost. The lock can be changed to a new locking system using a new key set . Your advantage: no need for the time-consuming and expensive replacement of the entire lock! Your gun safe is secure again in just a few simple steps. The Ranger 800/8 safe lock features 10 tumblers and 50 million different key combinations . Furthermore, the lock is VdS-tested (Class 2) and EN 1300 ECB•S-certified (Lock Class B) .

“SecuTronic” – Electronic combination lock with fingerprint module (E FP models)

The Modern safe electronics “SecuTronic” TRSE 12 V FP (ECB•S-certified according to EN 1300, Class B) boasts impressive features for security and convenience. The control panel features an angled touchscreen with a backlit graphic display. Furthermore, the angled design ensures optimal visibility even from above. You can freely choose your own access code, with one admin code and nine user codes available. The opening history can also be viewed directly on the display. Batteries are included with the Ranger 800/8, allowing you to use your gun safe immediately. Please note that the lock mechanism protrudes 50 mm.

Safe opening via fingerprint

A completely new feature is the ability to open the safe with just a fingerprint. After a software update from your authorized dealer, you will be able to open and close the Karat safe using your fingerprint. This makes BURG-WÄCHTER currently the only manufacturer to offer a certified biometric opening method (ECB•S certified, lock class A after the update).
Their big advantage: You can lose a key, forget the access code. But you always have your finger with you! A total of 20 fingerprints are available. Available for opening safes. Naturally, the technology features "Fake Finger Detection" (live finger detection).
The "SecuTronic" TRSE 12 V FP features an individual opening delay (max. 99 minutes). This means that after entering the correct code, the programmed time elapses before the safe can be opened.
