Epple Machines Bending Machines
Epple Maschinen's bending machines cover a wide range of applications – from compact devices for the ambitious DIY or craftsman to high-performance machines required for sheet metal processing on an industrial scale.
Precise edging – made easy
The folding machine plays a key role in sheet metal processing. It allows robust metal plates to be precisely bent to achieve perfectly fitting edges. Whether simple angle pieces, sturdy fasteners, or large-format, customized metal components: folded sheet metal is used in a wide variety of applications. And they usually always pass through a folding machine. Epple Maschinen offers a comprehensive range of folding machines that can be optimally integrated into various workflows.
Mechanical folding machines
For occasional bending work, a mechanical press brake is an affordable and effective solution. Sheet metal pieces are bent into the desired shape using muscle power via a lever mechanism. Depending on the model, sheets with thicknesses of 1.5 to 2.5 millimeters (with a material hardness of up to 48 Rockwell) and lengths of up to 2,020 millimeters can be processed. All mechanical press brakes from Epple Maschinen allow a maximum bending angle of 135 degrees. Intelligent features such as the foot-operated upper balance, which leaves the hands free for material guidance, and self-lubricating plain bearings for consistently smooth operation are standard on all models. The consistent use of spring dampers also reduces physical strain, even when processing thicker sheets. Epple Maschinen mechanical press brakes: AKB 1.020-2.0, AKB 1.020-2.0 G, AKB 2.020-2.0.
Electric folding machines
If bending is a frequently recurring, routine task in the company, the use of a motorized bending machine is recommended. For bending lengths of 2,000 to 3,050 millimeters – even on an industrial scale – electric bending machines from Epple Maschinen are the tool of choice. Powerful electric motors allow (depending on the model) the bending of sheet metal up to 5.0 millimeters thick, with a maximum bending angle of 130 or 135 degrees, and a throughput of up to 2,000 millimeters. The electric bending machines from Epple Maschinen are also characterized by clever product features that increase performance and improve operating comfort. A clearly arranged control panel is part of the standard equipment of all models, as is the foot-operated upper scale and self-lubricating plain bearings. Electromagnetic bending machine
The magnetic folding machine from Epple Maschinen opens up entirely new possibilities for sheet metal processing. Metals up to 1.6 millimeters thick (max. 48 Rockwell hardness) can be bent effortlessly and with extreme precision over a length of 1,250 millimeters. Other highlights of the machine include multi-stage segmentation into frequently used bending lengths from 25 to 1,250 millimeters, a secure clamp across the entire width, and the ability to adjust the bending angle to the exact degree up to 180 degrees. Finally, weighing just 175 kilograms, the magnetic folding machine is a true lightweight, making it ideal for mobile use, for example, on construction sites.
