Thermo wood:
During thermal treatment, the wood is heated to temperatures between 180 and 230° Celsius in the absence of oxygen. This significantly reduces the wood's ability to absorb water, thus depriving wood-destroying fungi and bacteria of their food source. This increases the durability of the wood.
All wooden parts of the barrel sauna (except sauna benches, windows, doors) can optionally be ordered in Nordic thermo wood.
