Thermo wood:
During thermal treatment, wood is heated to temperatures between 180 and 230° Celsius in the absence of oxygen. The wood's ability to absorb water is greatly reduced, and wood-destroying fungi and bacteria thus lose their food source. This increases the durability of the wood.
All wooden parts of the barrel sauna (except sauna benches, windows, doors) can optionally be ordered in Nordic thermo wood.
