The glazing of this barrel sauna consists of high-quality darkened glass with a mirror effect. The mirror-effect glass offers you a unique experience: observe your surroundings while enjoying a sauna – almost undisturbed, as the mirrored glass allows fewer glances from outside. In addition, the impressive mirror-effect glass gives your sauna a very high-quality and modern look. The barrel sauna can be delivered either as a kit or fully assembled ex works. If the sauna is ordered as a kit, the scope of delivery includes a high-quality special thick-layer sauna glaze in black. The color treatment must be done on-site. If you opt for the ex-works assembled version, the sauna will be pre-finished by us ex works in black and delivered already painted.

Properties and production of thermo wood:

During thermo wood treatment, the wood is heated to temperatures between 180 and 230° Celsius without oxygen. This greatly reduces the wood's ability to absorb water, thus depriving wood-degrading fungi and bacteria of their food source. This increases the durability of the wood. All wooden parts of the barrel sauna (except base feet, window and door frames, gables, and terrace boards in the outdoor area) are delivered in Nordic thermo wood.

Thermo wood treatment gives the wood an even, brown tone, which grays under UV radiation like all other woods. We therefore recommend treating the wood with a wood preservative glaze regardless.
