The glazing of this barrel sauna consists of high-quality darkened glass with a mirror effect. The glass with a mirror effect offers you a unique experience: observe your surroundings while enjoying a sauna bath—almost undisturbed, as the mirror glass allows fewer glances from outside. Additionally, the impressive mirror-effect glass gives your sauna a very high-quality and modern look. The barrel sauna can be delivered either as a kit or fully assembled from the factory. If the sauna is ordered as a kit, a high-quality special thick-layer sauna glaze in black is included. The color treatment must be done on-site.

Properties and Manufacturing of Thermowood:

During thermowood treatment, the wood is heated to temperatures between 180 and 230° Celsius, excluding oxygen. This significantly reduces the wood's ability to absorb water, and wood-destroying fungi and bacteria thus lose their food source. This increases the durability of the wood. All wooden parts of the barrel sauna (except base feet, window and door frames, fascia boards, and outdoor decking boards) are supplied in Nordic thermowood.

Thermo-treatment gives the wood a uniform, brown tone, which, like all other woods, greys under UV radiation. Therefore, we recommend treating the wood with a wood preservative glaze regardless.
