Quad-pixel drive for detailed 4K images with high frame rates
Quad Pixel Drive, Panasonic's 2-axis pixel multiplication technology, rapidly shifts each pixel vertically and horizontally to produce sharp, clear, and richly detailed 4K images with a maximum resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels (16:9). Combined with the DMD's high pixel density and narrow aperture ratio, Quad Pixel Drive produces smooth, film-like images with exceptional depth and definition, allowing viewers to more easily absorb complex visual information.
Rich Color Enhancer creates vibrant, precise colors
Rich Color Enhancer is Panasonic's proprietary color optimization technology for 1-chip DLP projectors, offering two selectable modes. Dynamic mode balances brightness and color for clear image visibility in well-lit environments. Standard/Graphic mode optimizes color reproduction performance by adjusting the color wheel timing to increase the red content, resulting in a more natural, vibrant red expression. Colors are deep, rich, and accurate, faithfully reflecting the artistic intent of the content creator.
Compatible with high frame rate content
Exclusive 240 Hz image processing technology supports frame rates up to 240 Hz/1080p with a maximum input-to-output latency of 8 ms for smooth motion and fast response (The display frame rate matches the input signal frame rate, geometric adjustments must be disabled).
Dynamic contrast increases the image realism of the PT-FRQ50 DLP laser projector
Dynamic Contrast directly modulates the light output to achieve high contrast with lower power consumption. Digitally controlled frame-by-frame scene link modulation ensures precise light output adjustment for precise contrast, even when bright and dark scenes frequently alternate.
Flexible 2.0x zoom lens with large V/H lens shift range
The versatile 2.0x optical zoom lens paves the way for a stress-free installation by increasing flexibility in projection distance and giving you more freedom in choosing a mounting position for the projector.
A large V/H lens shift range (vertical: +71% | -48% and horizontal: +34% | -27%) provides more flexibility when positioning the projector, for example, in rooms with high ceilings or for close-up projections. Adjustments are easily made using the joystick on the front of the PT-FRQ50 projector.
Pre-activated upgrade kits for Geometry Manager Pro software
Geometry Manager Pro Upgrade Kits typically require activation on the projector or software side with a paid license key. However, the PT-FRQ50 and PT-FRQ60 come pre-activated and ready to use with these upgrade kits at no additional cost. The ET-UK20 Geometry Manager Pro Software Upgrade Kit expands the functionality of software-based geometric correction and offers creative masking features. The ET-CUK10 Auto Screen Adjustment Upgrade Kit automatically calibrates edge-blended projections by adjusting brightness, color, and black level via a camera. This enables significantly shorter setup times for multiple projections. For more information, visit the Panasonic Geometry Manager Functions website.
Remote Preview Lite
Remote Preview Lite allows the projectionist to check signal connectivity and evaluate image changes using a laptop screen. Remote Preview Lite works even when the projector is in standby mode, eliminating the need to project on the screen immediately before the presentation begins. It reduces the likelihood of display issues before a screening, and if a fault is detected, it helps narrow down the possible cause in the input signal chain.
4K/60p compatible DIGITAL LINK and separate LAN port
The HDBaseT-based and 4K/60p input signal compatible DIGITAL LINK can transmit uncompressed video and control signals over a single CAT 5e (or higher) STP cable over distances of up to 150m (in Long Reach Mode 150m transmission only available with ET-YFB200G DIGITAL LINK Switcher for signals up to 1080p, ET-YFB200G DIGITAL LINK Switcher is not compatible with 4K signals).
The optional DIGITAL LINK Switcher or Digital Interface Box further simplifies installation and increases reliability. Alternatively, 100Base-TX or 10Base-T compatible control signals can be assigned to a separate LAN terminal, freeing up the DIGITAL LINK connection for high-bandwidth 4K video.
Features 2x HDMI CEC compatible inputs for easy operation
Two 4K-capable HDMI inputs support CEC commands from compatible devices, allowing the projector to turn on and off with the source device. Add the optional PressIT Wireless Presentation System and share content from virtually any device with a single button press. Like other compatible streaming devices, PressIT can be powered via a built-in 5V/2A USB-DC port for standalone ceiling installation. Compatibility with HDCP 2.3-protected 4K/60p video promotes seamless integration into your existing 4K-capable system infrastructure.
Note: The device's USB Type-C port requires support for DisplayPort ALT mode (image output function) and DC power supply (5V/0.9A).
Multi-Laser Drive Engine with unique failover circuit
Failover circuitry limits brightness loss in the unlikely event of a single diode failure. The Multi Laser Drive Engine features redundant laser modules that maintain image display even if one laser module fails. Failover circuitry provides an invaluable additional layer of backup for situations where image display cannot be interrupted.
20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation
To ensure stable and reliable continuous operation of the PT-FRQ50 DLP projector, Panasonic implements a sophisticated heat pipe-based cooling system within the compact and easy-to-handle projector housing. This filterless cooling system dissipates heat from the optical block, which is hermetically sealed to prevent dust ingress in accordance with stringent industry dust protection requirements. Low-degradation laser modules, an inorganic phosphor wheel, and a filterless cooling system design contribute to a maintenance-free projection life of 20,000 hours.
24/7 continuous operation
Supported by a highly efficient liquid cooling system, a hermetically sealed and dustproof optical block, and low-degradation diodes grouped into multiple modules, SOLID SHINE laser projectors can operate reliably 24 hours a day. These projectors are suitable for continuous projection in exhibition and public display applications.
Real-time tracking for projection mapping
Amazing, entertaining effects can be achieved by projecting with pinpoint accuracy onto fast-moving objects in conjunction with the ET-SWR10 Real-Time Tracking Software Development Kit. The ET-SWR10 expands creative possibilities for immersive sensory experiences, interactive exhibits, and more.
Reduces distractions for better concentration and immersion
When background noise needs to be kept to a minimum, Quiet Mode supports near-inaudible operation at 28 dB, limiting distractions in immersive projection environments as well as office meeting rooms, boardrooms, and classrooms where the audience needs to focus on the projected content.
System Daylight View 3
System Daylight View 3 is the premium implementation of Panasonic's System Daylight View technology. It supports six levels of user-selectable adjustment. To minimize the effect of ambient light on the projected image and enhance the color impact in projection mapping applications, sharpness, gamma curves, color, and brightness are adjusted to the on-site conditions.
Data cloning function
The data cloning function allows various settings and configuration data to be copied from a main projector to up to 99 sub-projectors via LAN. This simplifies and accelerates the setup process for multi-unit projection applications.
