Start working immediately
Start your class or meeting immediately without delays that distract your group. Unlike lamp-based projectors that take time to start up, the LMZ460 series projects your content in about one second after powering up from standby mode thanks to its SOLID SHINE laser light source. The series also features a Direct Off function, allowing you to turn the projector off at any time using the room switch.
Quiet operation maintains concentration
Quiet mode reduces operating noise to just 23 dB—the same volume as rustling leaves. The LMZ460 Series blends unobtrusively into the installation environment and minimizes distractions, even when the group is seated close to the projector. Quiet projection helps keep attention on the presentation, whether your class or colleagues are in the room or participating remotely.
Digital zoom extender with digital image shift function
The Digital Zoom Extender has been enhanced with a new Digital Image Shift feature. Digital Image Shift provides a convenient workaround when it's not possible to install the projector in the center of the screen due to ceiling lights or air conditioning vents, or in cases where the ceiling is too high. You can use the remote control to digitally shift the image 10% up or down and 10% left or right to fit your projection surface.
The Digital Zoom Extender feature allows you to maintain the same mounting position as your old projector, even if it's too far from the screen, eliminating the need for relocation. It extends the projection distance beyond the optical zoom range, projecting the image at the desired size on your screen. Additionally, the LMZ460 series uses the same bracket and mounting bracket as the conventional lamp-based PT-LB426 series, allowing you to screw in the new projector directly when upgrading.
Screen adjustment with automatic vertical keystone correction
The PT-LMZ460 series features a convenient screen adjustment system that can be controlled via remote control. It includes automatic vertical keystone correction, which corrects trapezoidal distortion when the projector is tilted upward or downward.
Designed for a stress-free life
Excellent image quality is just one benefit of laser projection. Both the light source and the ECO filter only need to be replaced after approximately 20,000 hours. Comparable lamp-based projectors would require between one and four lamp changes plus filter maintenance if operated for the same amount of time. You don't have to worry about disposing of used lamps, and the ECO filter can be washed and reused, reducing waste. It's easy to see how laser projection reduces costs and maintenance. And thanks to the controlled brightness increase of the light source and consistent color reproduction, images stay clear and vibrant for much longer.
Environmentally friendly design protects you and the environment
Switch to eco-friendly Panasonic projection and reduce your environmental impact in line with your company's sustainable development goals. The LMZ460 series uses light 1.6 times more efficiently than conventional lamp-based models, increasing brightness by approximately 27% while reducing energy consumption by 20%. The maximum power consumption in NORMAL mode is just 240 watts. These energy savings really add up, especially when operating more than one projector. You can further improve energy efficiency by setting the projector to ECO or QUIET mode.
SOLID SHINE - Vivid picture quality in light-filled rooms
Projectors in classrooms and offices need to be powerful enough to penetrate bright ambient light; otherwise, the image appears dull and washed out. Despite its compact housing and light weight of 4.20 kg, the LMZ460 series delivers up to 4,600 lumens of brightness for sharp, well-saturated images with room lights on and blinds open.
Dynamic contrast provides depth and realism
Dynamic Contrast analyzes the video signal frame by frame and digitally adjusts the light output to the contrast requirements of each situation. It features situation linking technology for increased realism when dark and light scenes frequently alternate. In addition to accurately reproducing images containing a mix of dark and light tones, Dynamic Contrast is more energy-efficient than other technologies. The high contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 delivers impressive detail definition in shadows and improves text legibility for more comfortable viewing.
Optimized images for your room
Daylight View Basic optimizes image quality based on the room's light levels. A sensor measures ambient light and adjusts brightness, dynamic contrast, and color to achieve the clearest results in all conditions.
CEC command compatibility HDMI makes life easy
Both of the projector's HDMI inputs are compatible with CEC commands. The projector will automatically turn on, select an input, play your content, and turn off when it detects these commands from a compatible source device such as a Blu-ray player, media streaming dongle, or Panasonic's optional PressIT wireless presentation system. Play your content smoothly and easily with just one remote control.
Supports 4K input signals for easy system integration
The LMZ460 series accepts 4K input signals via HDMI. This is a great help if you want to distribute 4K content from a media server to various display endpoints in your school or office that have different screen resolutions. You don't have to manually re-encode your video content or use an external video converter, reducing system and workflow complexity.
Project wirelessly from your smartphone or laptop
Share content wirelessly from your laptop or smartphone. Simply scan the QR code displayed in the on-screen display menu with your smartphone's camera, and your device will automatically connect to the projector via wireless LAN, without any SSID or passwords. Then use Panasonic's free wireless apps to beam your media to the big screen.
Automatic input switching function
The LMZ460 series makes daily operation more convenient. The Auto Input Signal Search function waits for incoming video signals and automatically switches to the correct input without requiring the user to perform this operation with the projector's remote control.
Plug-and-play projection with Memory Viewer
You don't need a computer to start your presentation—simply plug a USB memory stick into the projector's USB port, press the NETWORK/USB button on the remote control, select MEMORY VIEWER, and your still images will appear. Use the arrow keys to return to the previous slide.
