The tabletop or insert module with electronically controllable, energy-saving cooling/warming plate (full surface) is used for both precise cooling and keeping cool, as well as keeping food warm in the GN system – for maximum flexibility in every serving situation.
Significant energy savings are achieved during use thanks to the direct contact cooling/heating and the unique SWISS-PLY multi-layer material of the plate. This material combines an aluminum core, with up to 10x better conductivity (cold/hot) than pure stainless steel, with the hygienic advantages of stainless steel. This allows the plate to switch quickly and easily from cold to hot operation. Digital control allows the desired target temperature for the integrated cooling channels or for the heating to be precisely set and maintained at the desired temperature with a constant energy supply, ensuring perfect quality even after extended periods.
When combined with the thermoplates® GN cooking pot, also made of SWISS-PLY multi-layer material, cold/heat storage is even more efficient. The matching lid options for keeping food cold/warm and for hygienic protection during serving include the waterproof plug-in lid and the stylish cooking and buffet lid (buffet lid for the tabletop version).
All GN 1/1 varithek® modules are standardized and can therefore be flexibly combined and interchanged, allowing for precise insertion into the AST/EST system carriers or the varithek® GN port. For stationary use, they are also available as a built-in version upon request.
