The tabletop or slide-in module with an electronically controlled, energy-saving, and powerful induction cooktop (2 rectangular zones) is used for keeping food warm, boiling, steaming, grilling, or frying food. Compatible with the GN system, it offers flexible preparation with optimal cooking and grilling results on two separate cooking zones, which can be controlled separately or together using two rotary switches. Power levels 0-9 enable every type of food preparation, from gently keeping food warm and reheating to grilling. It also features the following additional functions: automatic pan detection, melting, warming, boost, and bridging functions, as well as automatic boil-off and shut-off (limiting operating time).
Combined with the thermoplates® GN cooking pot, made from unique SWISS-PLY multi-layer material, it ensures the highest food quality. The material combines aluminum at its core, with up to 10 times better conductivity (cold/hot) than pure stainless steel, for significant energy savings during use, with the hygienic advantages of stainless steel. The matching lid options for keeping food warm and providing hygienic protection during serving include the waterproof plug-in lid and the stylish cooking and buffet lid (buffet lid for the tabletop version).
All GN 1/1 varithek® modules are standardized and can therefore be flexibly combined and exchanged, for precise insertion into the AST/EST system carriers or into the varithek® GN port.
